Preparation and electronic filing of Form 1099-NEC and 1099-MISC for subcontractors and other non-employee payments. Vendor records are reviewed in December and forms are issued ahead of the January 31 deadline.

Sales tax filing
Preparation and filing of monthly or quarterly North Carolina sales and use tax returns. Taxable receipts are reconciled each period and remittance is coordinated with the client.

Initial consultation
A complimentary thirty-minute call or in-person meeting to discuss the business and the current state of the books. No documents are required for the initial conversation.
Review and engagement letter
A review of recent bank feeds and prior reports. Findings are documented in a written summary. If cleanup is required, it is quoted as a one-time flat fee. A formal engagement letter is signed prior to the start of work.
Monthly service
Prior-month books are closed and financial reports are delivered by the tenth of each month. Year-end financial reports are prepared and delivered each January.

Frequently asked questions
QuickBooks Online is the primary platform supported. Engagements using other systems may be accommodated where a client has an existing setup. The supported software is determined during the initial consultation.
Documents are exchanged through a secure shared cloud folder, typically Google Drive or Dropbox. Statements, receipts, and supporting documentation may be uploaded at any time. Documents are retrieved and processed during the regular month-end close.
Cleanup engagements are common for new clients. A one-time cleanup is quoted as a flat fee following a brief review of the existing records. Once records are brought current, monthly service begins with a verified opening balance.
Payroll oversight is provided for clients using Gusto, QuickBooks Payroll, or comparable third-party services. Payroll itself is not processed in-house.
Flat monthly fees are billed on the first business day of each month and are payable upon receipt. Engagements are month-to-month and may be terminated at any time with thirty days written notice. Material scope changes are discussed and documented in advance of the following invoice.
